Rest & Rewild

 
 
Rest and Rewild is a series of earth-inspired, trauma-sensitive group sessions for women. At the heart of our circles we will be exploring the practice of Yoga Nidra for rejuvenation and reconnection with Nature within and around us.

My hope is that the series might support you in calming your nervous system, experiencing deep rest, and nurturing the wild self that lies beneath the conditioning and trauma.

The nidras are intended as a remembering, a reweaving of ourselves back into the weft of the natural world. They are an opportunity to tap into the medicine of the earth, as we give space to the wild edges within us, ready to reclaim overly cultivated land.

 

The first series of nidras that I will be offering is inspired by the elements:
Water – connecting to flow and our oceanic consciousness
Earth – cyclical wisdom of the seasons and rooting into the great below
Air – the breath that we share with the trees, a sense of belonging to the web of life  and expanding into the great above
Fire – the life-giving light of the sun, our radiance and the creative flame within us

The series consists of 5 sessions held over a period of 10 weeks. Each session will be 75 mins long. There will be an opening practice to help us ground into the space, a 25 min. practice of yoga nidra, time for journalling and a sharing circle. An audio recording of the nidra will be available afterwards so that the exploration of each elemnt can continue between sessions.
