INDIVIDUALISED PIECES

Learn a bit about the process of co-creation involved to bring a commission to life.

TENDING TO THE VISION SEED

Perhaps there are plants that you feel a particular affinity with, or animals that speak to you soul, or even certain landscapes or colours that light you up.

Please contact me and we can see whether our ideas resonate.

Giving shape to your dreams

I love to co-create images – weaving elements that are important to you into a visual form.

CREATING ONE-OF-A-KIND ARTWORKS

If you resonate with my work, I would love to create an original piece for you.

I understand that commissioning a piece of art is a huge decision, so I hope to make the process of working with me as easy and enjoyable as possible.

Here is some initial information to read through before we connect so that you can get a sense of what the process entails.

  • THE DREAM SEED - Starting the process

    • You contact me with a vision or perhaps a feeling or an energy that you would like me to interpret and give shape to.

    *

    • We spend time together either via email or video-call, gathering the important elements and intentions for the piece, as well as discussing colour palettes and other finer details.

    *

    • I will send you a preliminary sketch before I start on the main work, so that adjustments can be made if necessary.

    *

    • I will send you a contract with all the specifications that we have agreed on for the artwork. It will also include information about payments and fees and information about the revision process.
  • THE FLOWERING PHASE -Growing the image

I will get to work, mostly creating in my own space. However, it is possible that I will contact you if further questions arise for me during the process. The time it will take me to complete your piece will vary according to the complexity of the image. Below this table you will find a link to a PDF containing more detailed information.

  • THE FRUIT- Completion

I will send you a photograph of the finished image. At this point, final minor adjustments could be made. Please note that due to the
nature of watercolour the scope for making changes is small. Once the payment has been completed, I will send you your new one-of-a-kind artwork, carefully packaged with tracking. Shipping costs are additional to the price of the commission. Please
note that returns will not be accepted for commissions unless the piece arrives damaged.

LEARN MORE ABOUT THE COMMISSIONS PROCESS

How do we communicate about your commission?

We will have an initial meeting either via email or video-call depending on the complexity of the image you are commissioning.

What does a commissioned piece cost?

The prices for commissions vary depending on what it is you would like me to create. I offer a range of options varying from simple to complex pieces, either as
drawings or paintings. To see my prices please click on the button above to open a PDF with more detail.

What themes could be explored in a commissioned piece?

Here are some examples: a life transition, a visual, energetic anchor, honouring a power animal or plant spirit, exploring a particular myth, folktale or landscape.

What mediums do I offer for commissions?

I offer works on paper in various sizes. Drawings are made either using fineline archival ink or dip-pen and oak gall ink. I use watercolour, earth and plant pigments for my paintings. The combination of these elements is dictated by the colour palette that we agree on. For simple paintings I will sketch in pencil and then paint with watercolour. For detailed and complex paintings, I usually create an ink drawing first and then add watercolour on top. All images can then be embellished with gold leaf if desired.
